Victoria Arnold Teacher and Supervisor November 17, 2012

I was a 1978 graduate that had the pleasure of having Mr. Brooks as a teacher. We used to have a good time in his class.  And he became my supervisor in the AFRES at Davis-Monthan in 1995/96. It blew my mind when I realized who he was, not in a million years did I think I would ever see Mr. Brooks again! I found it very hard to call him Sgt. Brooks. I will miss him!

RESPONSE

Thank you, Victoria, your words mean a great deal to us. "Mr/Sgt Brooks" was always delighted to work with former students. He said it was the most rewarding aspect of being a teacher. We send you our best  for a rewarding career.

I am sorry for the loss of my brother in law who was to me a mentor, a confidant, a good friend, a fellow lover of jazz and a person to treasure. We shared many bright moments together. He will be greatly missed and I pray he rests in peace. A new star in heaven will rise as bright as those moments we shared.

I am sorry for your sudden loss. "Mr. Brooks" was a great teacher and councelor. Even at my age of 50 years old, I still refer to him as Mr. Brooks. He was a tough love teacher who took a student like me who was new to Tucson and Flowing Wells and maybe had some attitude and helped turn me around. He never gave up.
He will be missed. May his soul rest in peace and may your family find comfort in Gods love.
